Hay Más Tiempo Que Vida is a photographic work in progress that navigates the pueblo of Usmajac, Mexico. My parents spent most of their lives here and immigrated to the United States in their late twenties in search of a better life. The work traverses the desire to visualize and understand what many second-generation Latinos face when considering their parents' childhood homes and family history. The project serves as a window to the characters and landscapes of Usmajac and the deteriorating artifacts of my mother's and father's childhood homes.
